What CheckBids is

You hand CheckBids one damaged-car listing and it tells you the most it is worth paying: the parts, the hours you could do yourself, the jobs that need a shop, the costs people forget, and buy, caution or walk. It is built for somebody rebuilding a car, not for a dealer.

It is guidance, not an inspection

Nobody at CheckBids has seen the car. Every figure - the repair estimate, part prices, what a fixed one is worth, and the most to pay - is produced by software, including AI, from photographs and listing text that can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. Hidden damage is normal on a damaged car and photographs do not show it. You are responsible for inspecting the car where you can, for checking the numbers, and for whatever you decide to pay. CheckBids is not liable for the outcome of any purchase.

We do not publish an accuracy figure, because we have not measured one honestly yet. Each answer instead carries its own confidence and says what the photos could not rule out.

You buy the car, not us

CheckBids never bids, never buys, never places an order and never holds your auction password. If you use the Chrome extension, it works inside your own signed-in browser session, reads only pages you open or searches you have asked it to reopen, keeps to a slow request rate, and stops entirely if a site blocks or challenges it. It never reads anything under member, account, payment or login. You are responsible for following each auction's own rules, including who may bid, licensing and fees.

What you tell us about a car

Figures you put in - what a fixed one sells for, a part price you found, what a car actually sold for, what a flip really cost - are used to work out your answers and to improve the product for everyone. Prices are shared only as a median across several separate accounts, never as your individual figure, and never with your name on it.

Not affiliated with any auction

CheckBids is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Copart, IAA, Manheim, Facebook, Craigslist or any other site. Their names are used only to say which listings the product understands.

Plans and billing

The free plan needs no card and does not expire: 3 cars a month, and running a car again with your own numbers never counts against that. Paid plans renew monthly until canceled; you can cancel any time in Billing and keep access to the end of the paid period. If a paid plan lapses you go back to the free plan's limits rather than losing access, and everything you have logged stays yours. A single car can also be bought on its own: a one-time payment, not a subscription, re-runnable free for the stated number of days. Monthly limits reset on the 1st in your account's time zone. Going over a limit shows an upgrade prompt; you are never charged extra without choosing to. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in secure, and do not share seats beyond your plan. Do not use CheckBids to overload any site, to scrape beyond your own use, or to break another service's terms. We may suspend accounts that do.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
